Warning Description: Winter Storm Watch

Warning Date: 3:34 PM EST on February 8, 2010

WarningSum:...Winter Storm Watch In Effect From Tuesday Morning Through
Tuesday Evening...

Warning Message:The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a Winter
Storm Watch...which is in effect from Tuesday morning through
Tuesday evening. 
Sleet and snow will develop late Tuesday morning from the south
central Virginia Piedmont...to the Richmond Metro area...and then
spread toward the lower Eastern Shore by mid afternoon. The
precipitation will steadily transition to freezing rain late
Tuesday afternoon. Freezing rain is expected to change to rain 
during the evening. Minor to possibly moderate ice accumulation
is anticipated from late Tuesday morning through Tuesday evening.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow...sleet...or ice accumulations that may impact travel.
